VOTE 4 THE CAUSE

We would like to thank everyone who has voted for the Tackle the Cause project via the Pepsi Refresh Project. Please remember that you can vote for the project once a day! We would like to encourage everyone to get their votes in daily, so we can move up to the Top 10 and receive a grant to help this project expand.

If we are awarded a grant we will be able to provide athletes with pink gear, provide imformational brochures to high schools, and create an awareness amongst the youth. Featured Artist

Due to the lack of Breast Cancer Awareness products available to high school athletes, "Tackle the Cause" has begun working and planning with featured artist Sam "Samcee" Cain. Samcee's artistic work has been featured at many levels and his resume includes many professional athletes such as Marshawn Lynch, Marcus Stroud, Fred Jackson, Trent Edwards, Shawn Nelson, Terrence McGee, George Wilson, Jahvid Best, Alex Mack, Zack Follett, Donte Whitner, Robert Royal, Urijah Faber, and Tyreke Evans.
Samcee was born and raised in Oakland, CA. As a young child, it was apparent that he had been blessed with the ability to draw and used his talent to escape the battles and adversities of a child growing up in poverty and with parents that struggled with substance abuse. Samcee used his art abilities to escape the negative aspects of street life in Oakland and began drawing pictures of family and friends. Eventually his capability lead to creating designs for clothing, shoes, and motorcycles. Samcee has never received any formal art training and his talent is strictly God given.
Samcee uses his life experiences to give him inspiration and eneregy to create his works of art. His own personal motto is: "Dreams come true. Go for whatever it is, its what you want in life, believe in it!"
If you are interested in having Samcee create custom apparel for you to help support "Tackle the Cause" please contact us at rush4cure@hotmail.com and we will forward the information to Samcee and his manager, so they can contact you. In addition, Samcee will donate a portion of all proceeds from work generated through "Tackle the Cause" back to our online teams suporting breast cancer awareness.

High School Football Players

Tackle the Cause is looking for high school football players to join our team and help raise Breast Cancer Awareness through their play. If you are a high school football player or know an athlete that would like to join our team, please email us at rush4cure@hotmail.com. We would like to have each athlete wearing some form of pink gear for a minimum of 1 game during the month of October this upcoming season, though we do prefer you help spread the awareness by wearing the gear during the entire month.
As a form of motivation, we are talking with professional athletes and athletic outfitters to donate items that will be given out to the Tackle the Cause athletes. To be entered in the drawings, an athlete would only need to submit a photo of theirself wearing the pink gear.
